Product Detail

• High Resistance to Alcohol and Pressure: LalBrew CBC-1 yeast efficiently referments beer, thanks to its remarkable resistance to alcohol and pressure. • Preserve Beer's Original Flavor: With a neutral flavor profile, this yeast ensures the original character of your beer remains intact. • Versatile Usage: Ideal for cask and bottle conditioning, and can also be used for primary fermentation of dry ciders, mead, sweeter fruit beers, or full-bodied malty ales. LalBrew CBC-1 is a top fermenting yeast, classified as Saccharomyces cerevisiae. It has high solids content, a large number of living yeast cells, and low levels of wild yeast and bacteria. It's a killer yeast, so proper cleaning is crucial to prevent cross - contamination. During primary fermentation at 20°C (68°F) in Lallemand’s Standard Conditions Wort, it offers a vigorous 3 - day fermentation with neutral aroma and flavor. It doesn't utilize maltotriose, resulting in a fuller body and residual sweetness in beer. The optimal primary fermentation temperature for traditional styles is 20°C(72°F). For refermentation, it's best used with priming sugars like dextrose. Refermentation can be completed in 2 weeks at recommended temperatures, with an optimal range of 15°C(59°F) to 25°C(77°F). It contains carbohydrates and unsaturated fatty acids, and cell navision might occur in the bottle. Adjust temperature and inoculation rate as needed, and reduce sugar addition for partially carbonated beer. Get the Technical Data Sheet and Lallemand Bottling Conditioning Best Practices Sheet now!
